Auxita Release 5.0

Last updated: July 9th, 2024

🚀 What's new?

Patient Health Overview
Introducing Auxita's new Health Overview feature, a powerful addition to the Patient Profile designed to enhance your patient management experience.

This brand new feature offers customizable health tiles displaying key measurements specific to your therapeutic area. Add new values quickly with manual entry or leverage automatic EMR sync for up-to-date patient data. Track patient progress with graphs and stay alert with visual risk indicators.

You can download a copy or receive a fax summary of your patient's health data from Auxita to store in your EMR to keep all patient records up to date.

Discover how the Health Overview can transform your patient care today!

Note: EMR sync is available only for EMRs that support an integration to Auxita.

Upload and send additional Documents with Prior Authorization Forms
Programs that support Digital Prior Authorization Forms and Document Exchange can now add attachments to any Prior Authorization Form initiated through Auxita.

To add attachments, click Attachments at the top of the Prior Authorization Form. You can either upload new documents from your computer or attach Documents already uploaded to the Patient’s Profile.

All attachments are sent with the Prior Authorization form upon submission to the Payer, and any newly attached documents are saved back to the Patient’s Profile.

Change Fax Destination by Enrolment Form
Prescribers and their Delegates now have the flexibility to direct Enrolment Forms to a different recipient by entering an alternative fax number. By default, Enrolment Forms are sent directly to the Patient Support Program (PSP). However, you now have the option to choose the destination, allowing you to send an Enrolment form to a Specialty Pharmacy or to another preferred recipient.

After submission, the alternate fax number will be prominently displayed on the Enrolment Card, making it clear and easy to recognize that this form was not sent to the PSP.

Note: This feature must be enabled and activated by an Auxita administrator. If you wish to reroute your Enrolment Forms, please get in touch with us at help@auxita.com

Changes to Referral Workflow
Users who submit Enrolment forms through a Referral Workflow will now have greater flexibility and more options when it comes to working with Specialty Pharmacies and Patient Support Programs.

Referral Workflow Settings
We’ve updated the Referral Workflow tile in your Settings to give you more control. Prescribers with access to this Setting will now find three action icons at the top right of the tile: Add, Edit, and Delete.

  • Add: Enables you to opt into an additional Referral Workflow, if available.

  • Edit: Allows you to modify the Enrolment Forms for the currently selected Referral Workflow.

  • Delete: Opts you out of the Referral Workflow.

For those who have opted into multiple Referral Workflows, you can use the arrows at the bottom right to navigate between them and view details.

Override Referral and submit directly to PSP
Prescribers and their Delegates who submit Enrolment forms through a Referral Partner can now direct Enrolment forms to the Patient Support Program instead of through a Referral Partner. By default, if you've opted into a Referral Workflow, Enrolment forms are sent to a Navigator or Specialty Pharmacy to review before submission to PSP.

🌟 Improvements

Merge Duplicate Patient Profiles
Say goodbye to the headache of managing duplicate patient profiles in Auxita!

Facility Administrators now have the power to seamlessly merge patient records.

After selecting the patients you need to merge, you are given the opportunity to choose which patient details you wish to keep. This crucial step helps you resolve any conflicts in the demographic data between duplicate patients. Once the merge is complete, all Forms, Documents, and Health data will be consolidated into a single patient profile.

Be mindful, the merge is irreversible, and the secondary profile will be permanently deleted!

Note: If you aren't a Facility Admin or are not sure who in your office is a Facility Admin, get in touch with us at help@auxita.com

Sign only or Review and Sign
When sending Enrolment or dPA forms to a Prescriber for signature, users will now have two options:

  • Send for Signature: Simply send the form for the Prescriber's signature.
  • Review and Sign: Flag the form to alert the Prescriber of any outstanding items they need to complete before submitting.

Prescribers reviewing their Awaiting Signature items will see a banner on all forms flagged for their review and signature.

Expanded Document Upload Functionality
Users can now Upload Documents to a patient's profile for any Program in Auxita.

Previously, the functionality for uploading documents was restricted to Premium Programs. We have expanded the document functionality to include the upload of documents for any Program with a In Progress Enrolment in Auxita.

Note that documents uploaded to Auxita are not automatically shared with the Patient Support Program.

You will still only be able to Share, Request and Annotate Documents for Premium Programs or for Enrolments submitted through a Referral Partner.

Premium Programs are denoted with the Premium icon.

Increase the size of Signature boxes
Any user signing their consent on forms or documents in Auxita now has the option to expand the signature box, providing more space to draw their signature on the screen. Click Collapse to shrink the signature box back to its original size.

This feature is available for Prescribers, their delegates, and Patients.

Deselect radio buttons on Forms
Previously, once a radio button was selected on a form, it could not be deselected. We've introduced a "clear" button for each group of radio buttons, allowing users to remove any selections made by mistake.

If you select a radio button on a form and later wish to remove your selection without choosing another option, simply click CLEAR to clear the selection.

Delegates can now 'Sign and Submit' OR 'Send for Signature'
Users appointed as delegates will now see a "View as Delegate" checkbox at the top left of forms. Previously, Delegates were only able to sign and submit forms.

  • When checked: The delegate can sign and submit the form on behalf of the selected Prescriber.
  • When unchecked: The delegate can act as a supporting user and send the form to the Prescriber for their signature.

🛠 Fixes

Background PDF Generation for Consent Forms
Improvements for PDF generation of consent forms were made after a user reported an error message when attempting to view a completed patient consent form. Users will now be able to open and view completed consent forms as a PDF without issue.

Updates to required fields when Creating Patients
Validation for postal codes was inadvertently added when creating patients which caused the field to be required. This change was not intended. This issue has been corrected. Additionally, we have ensured that a phone number is not mandatory when an email address is present (and vice versa).

👽 API

New API Event for submitting Prior Authorizations with Attachments
With the new functionality for adding Document Attachments to Prior Authorization Forms, a new API event 'pa-attachments' is now available. This event is triggered whenever a digital Prior Authorization is submitted to the Program for review.

New API Event for cancellation of a Referral Enrolment
A new API event, 'referral-deleted' is now available. If an Enrolment form was initially created as a Referral Enrolment this triggered the 'referral-initiated' API event, the 'referral-deleted' event will now be triggered if that Referral Enrolment form is subsequently deleted or sent directly to PSP. The attributes in the 'referral-deleted' event are the same as those in the 'referral-initiated' event.
