Auxita Release 4.9
Last updated: April 17th, 2024
π What's new?
"Fax me a copy"
When completing Enrolments, dPAs, and Prescription forms, you'll notice a new checkbox option labeled "Fax me a copy." This checkbox allows users to easily send a copy of the form back to their Facility Fax number, enabling them to maintain a record of forms initiated in Auxita directly within their EMR. The Facility Fax number is configured on your Auxita Account.
Any user with permission to submit a form will have access to this checkbox functionality. Auxita will also remember your preference for future forms, eliminating the need to check the box each time you fill out a form.
Note: Standard workflows for your EMR will apply to file the fax into a patient's chart.
Manage Prior Authorization Expiry Dates with Reminders
Stay on top of your Prior Authorization Expiry Dates with customizable reminders, now available in Auxita! Here's what you need to know:
-
Set Expiry Dates: Users can now easily set Prior Authorization (PA) Expiry Dates after submitting a digital Prior Authorization through Auxita. Navigate to the Patients section on the Prior Authorization and input the desired PA Expiry date. By default, all Prior Authorizations will expire 1 year after the submission date.
-
Customizable Reminders: Never miss an expiration date again! Access the ice cream menu on the left of the Prior Authorization to select when you'd like to receive reminders about expiring PAs. The default reminder period is 90 days, but users can customize it to 30, 60, or 120 days.
-
Opt-In for Notifications: Once a reminder is set, users can opt-in to view these reminders on the Home page and receive them in their Daily Summary emails. To opt in, adjust your Notification Preferences in the Settings section.
-
Accessible Updates: After opting in, users will find a dedicated Reminders section on their Home page and in their Daily Summary Emails from Auxita. Click on any of the counts at the top of the Home page to navigate directly to that section. PA Expiry Reminders will be conveniently displayed based on the chosen Reminder window.
Renew Prior Authorization Forms
Users can now renew Prior Authorization Forms directly within Auxita. If a Prior Authorization submitted through Auxita is nearing its expiration date, users can initiate the renewal process effortlessly.
Navigate to the ice cream menu located on the left of the Prior Authorization in the Patient's Program Overview, and you'll find two renewal options:
-
Renew PA: This option allows users to renew the same Prior Authorization form, pre-filling any previously entered information for a seamless experience.
-
Renew with Alternate PA: Users can opt to renew with an alternative Prior Authorization form for the same drug. If the patient has changed their insurance provider since the initial form was submitted, you may want to choose this option. While prescriber, patient, and insurance details are automatically filled in based on the patient's profile, previously entered fields are not pre-populated.
Upon renewing a PA using either option, the old PA transitions to the Archived tab, while the renewed PA becomes visible on the Active tab for easy tracking and management.
Note: It's essential to note that Auxita will only copy information from the original PA if the form version remains unchanged. If Auxita publishes a new version of the form during the renewal process, only Prescriber, Patient, and Insurance details will populate, mimicking the experience of initiating a new form.
Annotate, Replace, and Comment on Documents
Users can now annotate PDF documents uploaded to Auxita, replace them, or leave internal comments. There are annotation options for text, draw and highlight.
Annotating Documents: This feature allows users to add text, drawings, and highlights to documents. Once you save an annotation, the text and drawings become part of the PDF and cannot be edited. Highlights can be modified. You can add annotations as you are uploading a document, or when viewing a document you can add additional annotations.
Replacing Documents: This feature replaces documents that can't be annotated in Auxita. For instance, if a user uploads a Word document, it can't be annotated because it's not a PDF. However, users can download the Word document, make changes locally, and then replace the original document in Auxita without needing to upload a new one or delete the original.
Internal Comments: Users can now leave internal Auxita comments on a Document. These are not included with any printed or faxed version of the document and are internal to Auxita only.
π Improvements
Performance Enhancements
Based on feedback, we have begun to improve the end-user experience to help reduce load times for common functions.
Various performance enhancements have been made in the latest update of Auxita. You can expect to see noticeable improvements in loading times in the Patient Profile and on the Programs page. We are committed to optimizing Auxita to ensure a smoother and faster user experience.
Submit Enrolments as a non-HCP User
Some PSPs have enrolment forms that do not have a mandatory prescription section and therefore do not need to be signed and submitted by a prescriber.
A new permission called 'Submit Enrolments' has been created and users with this permission will be able to submit certain enrolment forms to the Program on behalf of a physician to enroll a patient. The final PDF enrolment form will be marked as "not a valid prescription".
Improved Notifications
Users will now see a notification bell at the top right of Auxita. Currently, this feature is focused on alerting users when there's an issue with faxing copies of Enrolments, dPAs, or Prescriptions back to themselves with the "Fax me a Copy" checkbox.
Users can now easily access the notification center by clicking the bell icon. Notifications from the past 30 days are displayed. Users can mark notifications as read, allowing for better organization and management of alerts. Filter notifications to display only unread messages, ensuring that important alerts are not overlooked.
Note: We're committed to enhancing this feature further by introducing new notifications in the future, providing users with even more valuable insights and alerts.
π Fixes
Facility Office Staff now have access to Post Treatment Reports
When applicable, Facility Office Staff will have access to the Post Treatment Reports in Auxita. Post-treatment reports are accessed from the Status Table on the Programs page. Only certain premium programs send Post Treatment Reports via Auxita.
Changes to Premium Features Available
The list of Premium Features Available is now only visible on the Program Details page. Previously a large box listing all available premium features for select programs was visible on the Patient Program Overview, however, this has been reduced to a single icon and text to indicate the program has premium features.
If you would like to know more about the available Premium Features for any program that displays this icon, click on the Program Name or Program Logo to access the Program Details page.
